Frankmusik – Better off as Two Song Words

I’m sorry but did I never mention
I’m better off with you
‘Coz now I think it’s time that you understood
We’re better off as two

Ever since we met we’ve never been too clear
All our insecurities turn up in all our fears
And how we’ve tried to make our problems disappear
Never searching hard enough to find only more tears

That’s why we are bound
The reason we are joined
‘Coz we are always trying to be strongest
At our weakest points

I’m sorry but did I never mention
I’m better off with you
‘Coz now I think it’s time that you understood
We’re better off as two

I know it gets too much sometimes
When we’re both not in tune
Singing to a different song, breaking us both in two
Then we start again
All the mistakes that we’ve made
Now we work in harmony with notes that never stray‘Coz we are always trying to be

Strongest at our weakest points

I’m sorry but did I never mention
I’m better off with you (better off with you)
‘Cause now I think it’s time that you understood
We’re better off as two

Limiting ourselves has never worked too well
Boundaries never kept but always making more, but still
We have made it far in the space of time
Being on our own won’t work so why not just be mine

I’m sorry but did I never mention
I’m better off with you
‘Coz now I think it’s time that you understood
We’re better off as two

I’m sorry but did I never mention
I’m better off with you
‘Coz now I think it’s time that you understood
We’re better off as two

Gabriel Prokofiev is a London-based composer, producer, and founder of the NONCLASSICAL record label and club night. He has produced Dance, Electro & Hip-hop music under a variety of different guises. His background in dance music combined with his classical roots gives his writing a unique edge. His compositions include three string quartets (“defies comparison” Daily Telegraph), a collection of piano pieces for Russian virtuoso GeNIA, and the groundbreaking Concerto for Turntables & Orchestra, premiered by DJ Yoda and the Heritage Orchestra at The Scala in Kings Cross, and recently performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra with Beni G, in Glasgow. Also, (IMPORT/EXPORT) for percussionist Joby Burgess’s group PowerPlant, using Global Junk objects, a piece for solo violin and solo dancer for Rambert Dance Company, and a concerto for ‘dancing’ viola, string orchestra, trombones and percussion, in the Paradiso, Amsterdam in 2008. In March 2009, his NONCLASSICAL club made its debut at the Wordless Music series in New York, and at the Rock festival SXSW to great critical response. (via Gabriel Prokofiev - Home)

Next to the Little Ships will be the Historic Squadron. Its composition will not be known until the last minute because some of the vessels that have volunteered may not be robust enough to take part. Other historic ships will be represented by a replica, such as John Cabot’s The Matthew.Too tall to sail under the bridges, she is expected to be moored as part of an Avenue Of Sail. Others being considered include the Portwey, built on the Clyde in 1927 and the only twin-screw, coal-fired steam tug known to be operating in the northern hemisphere, and the 1924 paddle-steamer Kingswear Castle, built as a pleasure boat on the River Dart and still in service on the Medway and Thames. "There’s a phase of testing that will run up until March that will establish in basic principles whether technology can actually achieve reasonable accuracy - 90%, 99%, maybe 100%. "It’s happening live in stadia all around Europe. “They can simulate light, they can simulate dark, they can simulate balls rolling across the line, balls being fired in from all different angles.” FA chairman David Bernstein admitted there was “very little chance” of convincing FIFA and UEFA to extend technology beyond goal-line systems. He added: “There’s no enthusiasm for it at all.” (via No goal-line technology for Premier League next season, says FA general secretary Alex Horne - News - MirrorFootball.co.uk)

Woke up in London yesterday

Found myself in the city near Piccadilly
Don’t really know how I got here
I got some pictures on my phone
New names and numbers that I don’t know
Address to places like Abbey Road
Day turns to night, night turns to whatever we want
We’re young enough to say

[Chorus]

Oh this has gotta be a good life
This has gotta be a good life
This could really be a good life, good life
Say oh, got this feeling that you can’t fight
Like this city is on fire ‘night
This could really be a good life
A good, good life

[Verse 2]

To my friends in New York, I say hello
My friends in L.A. they don’t know
Where I’ve been for the past few years or so
Paris to China to Col-or-ado
Sometimes there’s airplanes I can’ t jump out
Sometimes there’s bullshit that don’t work now
We are god of stories but please tell me-e-e-e
What there is to complain about

[Bridge 1]

When you’re happy like a fool
Let it take you over
When everything is out
You gotta take it in

[Chorus]

Oh this has gotta be a good life
This has gotta be a good life
This could really be a good life, good life

Say oh, got this feeling that you can’t fight
Like this city is on fire ‘night
This could really be a good life
A good, good life

[Bridge 2]

Hopelessly
I feel like there might be something that I’ll miss
Hopelessly
I feel like the window closes oh so quick
Hopelessly
I’m taking a mental picture of you now
'Cuz hopelessly, hopelessly
I have so much to feel good about

In the history of international basketball, there’s never been a country with as much style and swag as Lithuania. So as you’d expect, Nike hooked them up with the latest and greatest – the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 – as they attempt to qualify for next summer’s Olympic Games in London. Maybe it’s the colorway, or maybe it’s the country’s native spelling of “Lietuva” on the tongue, but either way I like it. Check ‘em out: (via Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 – Lithuania Player Exclusive | Dime Magazine (dimemag.com) : Daily NBA News, NBA Trades, NBA Rumors, Basketball Videos, Sneakers)

You were sittin’ up there on your momma’s roof
Talkin’ bout everything under the moon
With the smell of honeysuckle and your perfume
All I could think about was my next move
Oh, but you were so shy and so was I
Maybe that’s why it was so hard to believe
When you smiled and said to me…

Are you gonna kiss me or not
Are we gonna do this or what
I think you know I like you a lot
But you’re ‘bout to miss your shot
Are you gonna kiss me or not

It was the best dang kiss that I’d ever had
Except for that long one after that
And I knew if I wanted this thing to last
Sooner or later I’d have to ask
For your hand
So I took the chance
Bought a wedding band
And I got down on one knee
And you smiled and said to me

Are you gonna kiss me or not
Are we gonna do this or what
I think you know I love you a lot
I think we’ve got a real good shot
Are you gonna kiss me or not

So, we planned it all out for the middle of June
From the wedding cake to the honeymoon
And your momma cried when you walked down the aisle
When the preacher man said say I Do
I did, and you did, too
Then I lifted that veil and saw your pretty smile
And I said…

Are you gonna kiss me or not
Are we gonna do this or what
Look at all the love that we’ve got
And it ain’t never gonna stop
Are you gonna kiss me or not

Yeah baby I love you a lot
I really think we’ve got a shot
Are you gonna kiss me or not
